23rd August 2011.
Truthfully, I was terrified about going to Halton Training Camp. My friends called it Halton Concentration Camp and had told me numerous anecdotes about the horror they had experienced at Halton. So, as you can imagine, I was quite anxious. Today was my first experience of 'Command Tasks', and at first I had no idea what they were, but I soon found out they were logic puzzles and I really enjoyed them!
My Life as a Cadet

First Sports Night
19th August 2011.
So today was my first experience of sport with Cadets, and I actually really enjoyed playing badminton and meeting new people. It was great playing badminton with and against cadets and staff, but, one piece of advice: don't wear sweats or converses when playing sport! They don't make up the most comfortable sports kit!!

Joining Cadets
12th August 2011.
The day my life changed.
The day I joined 345 (City of Lancaster) Sqn.
Today was a nervous day: I wasn't entirely sure what to expect of the Air Training Corps, but I was excited all the same. Finding the squadron building proved to be quite difficult! But luckily, I spotted another cadet, and eventually I found the building.
My first night down at cadets was a day I'll never forget. When I joined, I was really overwhelmed by the slick drill maneuvers and worried that I'd never be able to learn them, but I soon found out that I wasn't actually that bad at drill. I was also slightly intimidated by the other cadets and staff, but within no time at all, I realised that everyone was really nice and always there if I needed help.
